Summary
Yui Komori is sent to live in an isolated mansion that belongs to a family of vampires; there she begins to coexist daily with hostile behaviors and predatory attitudes. Throughout the first season, the narrative focuses on the tense coexistence: episodes explore abuse, emotional manipulation, and flashbacks that reveal traumas and motives behind the vampires' actions. Hostility grows as family secrets from the past emerge, deepening the psychological and gothic atmosphere of the story, with no definitive resolution at the end of the initial season. In the second season (Diabolik Lovers More, Blood), another group of vampires enters the scene, triggering confrontations and changes in dynamics around the protagonist, including conflicts between vampiric factions. The events solidify rivalries and expose new layers regarding the importance of the protagonist's blood, intensifying disputes inside and outside the mansion. The anime concludes the seasons without a unique and canonical ending that resolves all narrative threads, leaving multiple questions open and the plot without a definitive conclusion in the animated adaptation.
