Summary
Makoto Niwa moves to his relatives' house in a seaside town to attend high school and establish his new routine. He meets Erio Touwa, a young girl who lives wrapped in a futon and declares herself a 'denpa' (someone who receives unusual signals), arousing curiosity and concern in the neighborhood. The series follows episodes centered on the attempt to connect between Makoto and Erio and interactions with the school community and neighbors, exploring misunderstandings and everyday moments. Throughout the episodes, small clues about Erio's past and absence emerge, presented in a fragmented manner with no definitive explanations. The episodes continue in an episodic format, alternating humor and more introspective scenes that deal with identity, communication, and acceptance. The anime concludes without fully resolving the origins of Erio's beliefs or closing all emotional issues among the characters, leaving many points open.
